In today's PRAISE THE TINY BABY JESUS news: A woman in Beijing (her name is Zhao, but she will henceforth be referred to as Our Cognac Hero) who was forbidden from taking a bottle of Rémy Martin XO Excellence on a flight, decided that it would be a great idea to just go ahead and chug it all. At once. Sadly, her plan was foiled when her drunkenness thwarted her ability to board the plane at all. Apparently you can only get drunk on the plane — at $8 for a shot a wine.
To be fair, it was $180 bottle of booze, and what are you going to do with $180 bottle of booze besides drink it. A. You sure as hell aren't going to leave it in the airport for some random person to appropriate — they wouldn't even appreciate cognac, please. And B. Is it not normal to drink a 750ml bottle of cognac in one sitting? Wait. So . . . no?
